Collection: Custom Acrylic Quilting Templates
Custom Acrylic Quilting Templates, Cut to Your Exact Pattern
If your quilt pattern calls for a shape nobody sells, we cut it. Send a PDF, an SVG, a photo of your paper pattern — or just the dimensions — and we laser cut it from 1/8" cast acrylic, the standard thickness quilters use with a rotary cutter.
No minimum order. Most custom acrylic template shops in the quilting trade require $200 or more and are set up for pattern designers running production. We cut one-offs for individual quilters, starting at $22.95.
Shapes we cut
- Hexagons and half-hexagons for English paper piecing
- Half-square and quarter-square triangles
- Dresden plate blades, clamshells, apple core, tumbler, kite and melon shapes
- Equilateral triangles, diamonds and 60-degree shapes
- Odd-size pieces taken from a pattern you already own
- Fussy-cutting windows sized to a specific fabric motif
Why acrylic instead of template plastic
Template plastic nicks under a rotary blade, and once the edge drifts your pieces stop matching. Cast acrylic holds a true edge through years of cutting. It's also clear enough to fussy cut — you can see the fabric motif underneath and place the shape exactly where you want it.
Seam allowance is your call
Tell us whether you want the template cut to finished size or with 1/4" seam allowance included. If you don't say, we'll ask before cutting — every order gets a free to-scale digital proof, and nothing goes on the laser until you approve it.
Custom sizes, custom thickness
Standard is 1/8" for rotary cutting. We also cut 1/4" acrylic for longarm and ruler-foot work, where the extra thickness keeps the ruler foot from riding over the edge.
Cut and finished in Portland, Oregon. Ships nationwide, typically 3–5 business days after proof approval.
